In case you haven’t heard the news, I’m pregnant with a baby boy who is due this September. I’m not gonna lie, shopping and decorating a nursery for a boy isn’t nearly as exciting as I imagine it would be for a girl. Of course, turns out that’s actually been a good thing for my wallet.
That was, until I stumbled upon the “Skyline” pattern by Dwell Studio, which features a scene of “the buildings of the bustling city – sure to spark imaginations both young and old.” Well, spark my imagination it did! The pattern is so simple, yet modern and fun…just what I was looking for. I purchased a few pieces from the set, but I still found myself wanting to incorporate even more of it into my nursery.
Enter these DIY closet organizers I whipped up! I simply put my Illustrator skills to use recreating the pattern (or a slight variation thereof) and created a template that fit on the plain closet dividers I picked up. Then, using some sticker paper, a color printer and my scissors, I set to work. Below are some pics I snapped along the way. I must say, I’m pretty happy with how they turned out.
If you’re interested in a copy of the PDF template I used, I’d be glad to share! Just leave a comment below with your name and email address.
