Every Thanksgiving table is deserving of proper decorations and place settings. After all, for most of us, the holiday centers on a delicious meal shared by family and good friends. These leaf napkin rings are easy to make and add a splash of personality to any dinner table.
What you’ll need:
– ScotchBlue™ Painter’s Tape
– Leaf template (I used this)
– Leather scraps
– Spray paint and/or acrylic paint (I used gold spray paint, and fuchsia acrylic paint)
– Paint brushes
– Glue gun
– Binder clips
Let’s get started…
Using leaf template, trace shape onto leather and cut out (repeat this step for each napkin ring you want to make).
Using remaining leather, measure and cut strips that are 7” long and 1.5” wide, these will be your “rings.”
Using ScotchBlue™ Painter’s Tape , mask off desired pattern on leaves, and strips if you desire.
Place each leaf slightly off to one side of the center of a strip, using glue gun to secure. Let dry. Apply glue to one side of strip and fold one end over the other, using a binder clip to secure until dry.
