Story Time

IMG_7449When I was pregnant, one of the things I was most looking forward to sharing with my baby was story time. In the months leading up to Jude’s birth, I built up a pretty decent library for him. He’s only three months old now and has a very, very short attention span, but I make a point to read to him every day. His library continues to grow, partly thanks to loved ones gifting us books and partly because I buy new books as I tire of reading the same books over and over again. Here are just a few of our favorites:

Stuck by Oliver Jeffers
This Moose Belongs to Me by Oliver Jeffers
Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak
Little 1 by Ann and Paul Rand
The Pout-Pout Fish by Deborah Diesen
Little Blue Truck Leads the Way by Alice Schertle
Henri’s Walk to Paris by Leonore Klein
The Napping House by Audrey Wood
Sleep Like a Tiger by Mary Logue
Madeline by Ludwig Bemelmans

What are your favorite books to read with your kids? Did you have any favorites when you were child? I’m always looking for recommendations!

Harrison’s favorite right now, and favorite simply means he doesn’t try to throw himself off my lap out of boredom, is I Love You Through and Through. He gave it to all his friends for Christmas.

Not sure if these are available in the USA , but my little nephew whose now 18 months, was obsessed in the early months with ‘What the ladybird heard’ & ‘Room on the Broom’ . ‘There’s a Lion in my Cornflakes’ is his current favourite 🙂
